Premium Spirits Buyer

Location: London
Salary: £50,000 – £80,000 (Based on full-time, dependent on experience) + Commission + benefits.

We are a specialist Wine and Spirits supplier who pride ourselves on sourcing and delivering the finest and rarest products in the world. Our clientele includes trade clients worldwide, as well as private collectors and wealthy connoisseurs.

We are looking to add strength and depth to our team with the appointment of an ambitious Premium Spirits Buyer. This position will involve sourcing some of the world’s most prestigious and sought-after spirits, therefore it is imperative that candidates are passionate about the drinks industry and have strong experience with relevant contacts. Good knowledge of the industry is essential.

Responsibilities Include: Sourcing rare spirits, such as Whiskies and Cognacs. Forging relationships with specialist merchants. Travelling to meet sellers, evaluate products and confirm validity. Negotiating prices and striking deals before selling the products on to buyers. Advertising company stock and updating customers on new arrivals.

The Ideal candidate must have a thorough understanding of where to purchase premium and rare whiskies and spirits and ideally possesses a network which will allow them to hit the ground running.

Skills: Well educated ideally with WSET or equivalent qualification. Great influencing and communication skills Excellent commercial awareness Strong ability to build relationships. Proven negotiation skills and ability to close deals in a timely manner.
