Bordeaux En Primeur 2023: Make or Break?

Located on the border of Germany and France, the Alsace region is influenced closely by both countries. When visiting, you can see how these two countries have impacted the cities through architecture and the presence of both French and German languages.

Alsace Wine represents a marriage of these cultures and there is no better example of this than the “dry Riesling” which is a key wine produced in this region. Other wines from this region include Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Crémant d’Alsace. Famous producers include Zind-Humbrecht, Hugel and Trimbach.

When drinking these wines you can expect to experience wines rich in floral and peachy aromas. These wines have brilliant acidity while offering a rich texture. Wine producers from the region don’t typically use oak for aging to add spice and richness, instead they rely on a balance of ripeness and alcohol to fill out the flavour.
