Bordeaux En Primeur 2023: Make or Break?

New World Wine

These are wines that are produced outside the traditional winegrowing regions of Europe. They are mainly from countries such as Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, and the United States.

The term “New World” is used to distinguish these wines from those produced in “Old World” countries, which have a long-established history of wine production, primarily in Europe.

When thinking about regions that have made a remarkable impact on the industry, one cannot overlook California. Meanwhile, Argentina has crafted its own distinct response to wine with its renowned Malbec varietal, while Chile has found its own identity through the captivating Carménère grape.
