Brunello di Montalcino
Brunello wine has Italy’s highest DOCG classification and is one of Italy’s most famous and prestigious wines.
Exhibiting a classic garnet hue, this wine presents enticing aromas of red and black fruits accompanied by subtle notes of vanilla, spice, and a touch of earthiness. With a full-bodied profile, it typically carries an alcohol content around 14 or 15 percent ABV. The wines boast a well-defined tannic structure and vibrant acidity, resulting in a harmonious balance on the palate.
The wine is made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the slopes around Montalcino – a classic Tuscan hilltop village 30 kilometers (20 miles) south of Siena. Sangiovese Grosso is the large-berried form of Sangiovese.
