Robert Parker 94
Tasted at the Chateau Suduiraut vertical in London. A deep gold/amber hue. The nose is reminiscent of a fine Tokaji 6 Puttonyos: well defined with apricot, over-ripe Satsuma that have been lying in a glass vase for too long, complemented by touches of honeysuckle and beeswax. The palate is supremely well balanced, very focused on the entry with a dash of spice, vibrant honeyed fruit, dried orange peel, peach and pink grapefruit, with very good weight and penetration on the finish. This has an opulence that was missing on the ’82 Creme de Tete. Tasted October 2010.
