Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 92
Tasted at Farr Vintners’ vertical from ex-chateau magnum. This was the most surprising wine of the Angelus vertical and far superior to the magnum show six years ago. The nose is fresh and vibrant: lively red berries, wild hedgerow, crushed stone with a hint of Moroccan leather. The palate is very well balanced, just a hint of Asian spice on the entry, very cohesive and harmonious with a tense, lively, fleshy finish that really is a joy. It is destined to be overshadowed by the following pair of vintages, but on this showing it is not one I would overlook. Tasted October 2011. [Neal Martin, 01/10/2011]
